Hunter tests audio recording, editing, and publishing features while his cat tries to get affectionate. Transcript below: Hi, Hunter here. Apparently microcasting—oh, hello! My cat just jumped in my lap—microcasting is possible with micro.blog. I wanted to test this out because as a musician, and as somebody who likes to work with words that are spoken as well as written, I thought this could be a really cool way to play with podcasting that’s really low investment. And just kind of void post with audio. You know, have fun with it, get silly with it. The cat is currently rubbing his face in my face, maybe I can pick up some purrs here. (cat purrs into microphone) There we go. Some nice purrs for you this afternoon. Anyway, this is really just a test Podcast. I’m really just trying to get some audio out there just to make sure all the tools work, understand how the editing flow works, and then kind of see how it syndicates to other sites. I’m going to need to get some transcripts together for accessibility and all that. I think that’s the best practice, right? I think microcasting is really cool. I would encourage you to try it. This was pretty easy to set up. It’s not quite as easy as onboarding onto a typical social media platform, but it’s really not, super demanding on the tech side or anything either. It’s pretty approachable. This is more than enough for a test—So until next time, Hunter out!
